Melanie Jo is an LA-based songwriter and producer specializing in intimate lyrics and nostalgic melodies. She has spent the last few years in Los Angeles writing with hundreds of up-and-coming artists and producers for their new releases. Upon her initial move to Los Angeles, she completed a songwriting mentorship with GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and artist, JP Saxe. More recently, she won the 2023 ASCAP Harold Adamson Songwriting Award for her track, "Second Chances." Her artist project recalls the sounds of Lorde, Gracie Abrams, and Holly Humberstone, and has garnered hundreds of thousands of streams across platforms and secured sync placements on MTV [Teen Mom], Amazon Prime [Blumhouse Films], and College Music. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, she studied film scoring and contemporary production at the collegiate level (University of Miami Frost School of Music - Outstanding Media Writing & Production Graduate '21) and participated in various renowned intensive songwriting programs (Interlochen Center for the Arts, New York University Summer Songwriters' Program)
